Sugoii -The Japanese Art of „Pinku” and Hello Kitty
I think to start with describing the japanese fashion knowing the word „sugoi – cute” is quite essential, mainly in the teenage fashion we can see many extreme ways to get to the point to be „sugoi” especially for the girls.
The japanese fashion era in this decade has grown out to conquer the whole world ,through China to Europe and the Americas with it’s „pinku – pink” and Hello Kitty which are widely sold and worn all around the globe in the last few years, with it’s extreme high heels and the unforgettable „punk-gothic-geisha” style for which we can see beautiful examples all over Japan, especially in the bigger cities like Tokyo. The japanese fashion today is the muse of many world –famous fashion designers.
The japanese fashion’s psychology in many ways represents the „ stay a child yet” feeling with which the originally deep conformist japanese people’s new young generation responds with it’s shiny colors, the extreme ways of outlook and behaviour all represent a big „ NO „ toward the still deeply traditional and rule respective japanese adult world in which sooner or later they will also belong.
The average age range of the original japanese fashionistas is from 14 till the latest 22 year old, out of which we can clearly see that the japanese „gothic-schoolgirl-pink”fashi on is represented mostly in the so called „school ages „
Yet, is a nice way for teenagers to shine a bit before and after joining their classmates wearing uniforms even in schools. And we have still a lot to learn from them about how to make our wardrobes a little crazy even if we are more than twenty. But steer clear of wearing the most extreme trends, those would only suit the best on japanese teenage girls, because without question they are the ones who are really„sugoi-cool” wearing them.
