The Way He Had To Go

Of course he had to go this way. This man was never going to exit in bed, or in a car crash. Unless the car was overturned by a rampant hippo.
He probably knew it too. His friend said he had no fear of death, but that doesn't mean he had no awareness of it.
He was irresponsible and annoying and over the top and I never liked watching him.
And if anyone was going to die this way he was.
But still, it was shocking and saddening. I think because we can't help but be surprised when death visits someone who always seemed, no matter what else he was, incredibly alive.
